Who Are We?
Our Story
Realm was founded in 2016 by filmmaker and director Paul Bates. We’ve always been drawn to people and the stories behind what they do. Whether we’re filming for a business, a brand, an arts organisation or a charity, we look for the human side of the story, the moments, personalities and details that make a film feel genuine.
We care just as much about how a film looks. Cinematic imagery and thoughtful storytelling go hand in hand for us and we bring that approach to everything we make, from brand films and documentaries to corporate productions and arts projects.
We handle the whole production process in house, from the first idea through to filming and post-production, with our editing headed up by Gabrielle Milanese. We take a thoughtful and understanding approach whilst also keeping things collaborative.
Sustainability has also been part of Realm from the beginning. We’re always looking for sensible ways to reduce the impact of our productions and make films in a more responsible way.
Sustainability
By working with Realm, you’re working with a company committed to lowering it’s carbon footprint. From our electric vehicle that we use to get to locations, to the renewable energy supply to our office, we’re trying to do our bit for the planet. We love to create video content that inspires positive social change. It’s at the core of what we believe. For us this goes beyond a job, it’s our passion and each video we make reflects this belief.
